Epic Celebrations and DIY DSP

Another card in the You Can Do This Series.

Last week's blog featured a card made in totally frilly Sweet Sugarplum (In Color 2016-18) and my favorite stamp from the Epic Celebrations stamp set -- the pair of sneakers!!  This second card uses the guitar stamp and also focuses on coloring techniques using Stampin' Up!'s Water Color Pencils (found in the Annual Catalog on p. 201 and in the Occasions Catalog on p. 34).

Sometimes it is just a little more fun to make your own DSP (Designer Series Paper). Right? I stamped the head phones in Basic Black Archival Ink on Pool Party Card Stock and colored using the Water Color Pencils in Pacific Point, Real Red and shades of Basic Gray. Use the Aqua Painter or the Blender pen to move the color around.

The guitar was stamped in Dapper Denim Classic Ink (In Color 2016-18) on Whisper White Card Stock and die cut using a large oval and layered on a Dapper Denim large scallop oval.  The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink. Bedazzling compliments of Rhinestone Basic Jewels and a Pool Party Star from the Enamel Shapes (Subtles) assortment.

This is a simple card and would make a great birthday card for a musically inclined teenager!  Post a link to your card in the comments below or share with me on Facebook.

Sales Pitch:  Need I remind you that the 2016-18 In Colors will retire in June so I recommend ordering the ink pads and refills pronto.

Shameless Plug:  If you don't already have a demonstrator, I would appreciate the opportunity.

If you find that you need any additional information, please message me and I will get back to you.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Stamp On!!
