May Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project

Hello, my crafty friends. With the weekend full of activities, not much time for crafty fun so this is a quick alternate card using the stamp set from the May Paper Pumpkin kit, A Kit In Color, and some scraps of cardstock from my "pile."

The card base is a side fold A2 (cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4) in Whisper White cardstock. The rainbow strips are built up from the lower right corner on a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Flirty Flaming cardstock (use strips that are too long, then trim) and layered on a 5 1/4 by 4 piece of Mango Melody cardstock. The sentiment stamp "hey" is inked in the new 2020-22 In Color Misty Moonlight and fussy cut. (I felt that the separation between the two blues was enough for them not to "clash.")

Give this super simple card a try!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Feel free to leave a positive comment below with a trail to find you so I can find your creations out on the "www" - I look forward to it.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the May Paper Crafting Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from across the globe! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Sandra Roberts' blog (great project, Sandra!). Welcome one and all.

This month's theme celebrates the men in our lives and features products from either the annual catalog or the mini catalog. I was so torn on which stamp set to use so my choice is Lilypad Lake Stamp Set, the coordinating Lakeside dies, and supporting dies from the Seasonal Layers dies, all from the annual catalog.
You may recall that I used the Lilypad Lake Stamp Set for last month's card, but this month I am changing the lake scene to a beach scene with the chair die and drink die from Seasonal Layers. See how easy that was! You can do it!

As always, thank you for stopping by my blog today! Feel free to leave a positive comment below with a trail to find you and your creations out on the "www" - I look forward to it!. Do not forget to check out the great project by our next blog hopper, Sue McDonald.
This is a full list of our bloggers this month and their links in case you find yourself off track:

Easy Handmade Card Featuring Royal Peacock Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. I just wanted to show you this beautiful card using the Royal Peacock Stamp Set/Bundle slated for retirement at the end of this sales period, June 2, 2020 (or while supplies last after May 22) The plan was to make this card in our workshop last month, but that did not happen due to circumstances beyond our control. I know that one of my club members purchased this bundle, but let's go over the measurements and cuts together because at our online workshop this Sunday, we will make a totally different card using the same basic layout. Easy and FUN!!

The card base is a side fold A2 (cut 5.5 x 8.5, scored at 4.25) in Bermuda Bay cardstock. The first layer is a straight cut piece of the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper (cut 5.375" x 4") and the second layer is that gorgeous blue sheet from the SDSP (cut with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die). The full peacock stamp is inked with Pretty Peacock (2019-21 in color) and the second stamp of the accent feathers image is inked with Blueberry Bushel (retiring 2018-20 in color). Layer the peacock on a third layer of Pretty Peacock cardstock Stitched Rectangle Die (3d from center) that was embossed with the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder.

The leaves are die cut from the coordinating Noble Peacock Foil Sheets, adhered right behind the peacock and set on the lower left of the card front. Bedazzle with several Noble Peacock Rhinestones.

Important announcement:  This Saturday I am participating in the May Global SU Share Fair as a presenter. I have teamed with fellow demonstrators around the globe to bring Facebook Live video demonstrations into your stamp space this Saturday, May 16.  My time slot is 3:00 p.m. (ET). Our regular online workshop will proceed on Sunday, May 17 at 11:30 a.m. - we will be using the Daisy Lane Bundle/see below.

Joining the Facebook Global SU Share Fair is by invitation only so please PM me that you want to join the group to receive your invitation. You will need to accept the invitation and give my name as the answer to the question to join the group.

May's Online Workshop*
*We will not be able to meet in person again this month (frowny face).

We will be using the Daisy Lane Bundle (p. 23 of the Annual Catalog). If you do not have these, pick out your favorite flower stamps/punches and let's get to crafting.

If you are placing an order for the Daisy Lane Bundle, or anything, be sure to use the May Host Code for a fab surprise this month.

As always, thank you for stopping by my blog today! Feel free to leave a positive comment below with a trail to find you and your creations out on the "www" - I look forward to it!.

April Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project

Hello, my crafty friends. This week I have designed a super cute card using the beautiful stamp set from the April Paper Pumpkin kit, My Wonderful Family, and some various pieces and parts from my kit.
#paperpumpkin #mywonderfulfamiy #sandee904

The card base is a side fold A2 (cut 5.5 x 8.5, scored at 4.25) in Melon Mambo cardstock. The leaves for this large tree is stamped twice in Pear Pizzazz, side-by-side, on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and die cut using the second largest Stitched Rectangle die. I used one of the extra die cut tree trunk/branches piece from the kit. The second layer is Pear Pizzazz cardstock die cut using the largest Stitched Rectangle die.

Next I inked the sentiment in Pear Pizzazz and "cleaned" off the words "life" and "love" to color them with the Melon Mambo Stampin' Writer Marker so the words would stand out when stamped on the piece of Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment is secured to an extra piece of the fancy Crushed Curry paper strip. A pop of bling on each end of the sentiment using those Frosted Crushed Curry pearls that came in your kit. Another pop of color with the string of butterflies in Melon Mambo.

Give this super simple card a try!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Feel free to leave a positive comment below with a trail to find you so I can find your creations out on the "www" - I look forward to it.
