Easy Handmade Card Using Around the Corner Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!

Hello, my crafty friends. This week I thought I would share a greeting card for a celebration of any kind. This card uses the cutest stamp set, Around the Corner (AC p. 157). I think you should add this stamp set to your wish list!

Easy Handmade Card Around the Corner Stamp Set sandee904

In creating this card I decided to use Stampin' Up! colors Night of Navy and Crumb Cake so the card will easily work for celebrations for male or female recipients. There is just a hint of Mango Melody which could be changed to your favorite accent color. The Crumb Cake layer is embossed using the Subtle 3D embossing folder (AC p. 199)

For embellishments, I opted to use a piece of the new 3/8" (1 cm) Denim Ribbon (AC p. 174) behind the stack of images and three of the versatile Clear Epoxy Droplets (AC p. 178) in a row right above the ribbon on the right hand side.

You could make a stack of these pretty quickly. Leave the stamping of the inside sentiment for later -- save them for a future emergency card situation for any occasion!

Stamps:
Around the Corner (AC p. 157)

Ink:
Neutrals Classic Stampin' Ink Night of Navy (AC p. 162)

Paper:
Neutrals Night of Navy Card Stock (AC p. 162)
Neutrals Crumb Cake Card Stock (AC p. 162)
Whisper White Card Stock (AC p. 169)

Tools/Accessories:
Layering Squares dies (AC p. 194)
Stitched Shapes dies (AC p. 196)
Subtle 3D embossing folder (AC p. 199)
3/8" (1 cm) Denim Ribbon (AC p. 174)

Colorful Seasons Papercrafters Blog Hop

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the September Paper Crafting Blog Hop! Once again I am participating in this blog hop with several fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from the United States,  Australia and United Kingdom. You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Sue Boerner's blog. Welcome one and all.

This month's theme is any kind of fall project. I have chosen Colorful Seasons (AC p. 56) to show off Stampin' Up!'s beautiful fall colors. The colors used include Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso.
Colorful Seasons Seasonal Layers Adirondack
The Colorful Seasons Stamp Set coordinates with the Seasonal Layers Dies (AC p. 195), Don't you love those adirondack chairs!! And, there is the Buffalo Check Background Stamp (AC p. 156) again.

I am terribly lacking in fall sentiments since it is not such a "hot" theme here in Florida. I chose the word "welcome" from the Well Written dies (AC p. 197) and created "fall" combining letters from two other dies. (Well Said Stamp Set, AC p. 47 - not used on this card front, but coordinates with the dies.) Hard to tell, but the "fall" sign is hanging from the top sentiment flag using the linen thread.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I sure hope you have enjoyed my card featuring Colorful Seasons. Leave a comment below with a trail to find you so I can see your creations. Do not forget to check out the great project by our next blog hopper, Sue McDonald.

Easy Handmade Holiday Card Using Stampin' Up! Dashing Deer Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. It is September so you might be feeling a crisp breeze in the air. Or, perhaps you may live along the Florida coast and are feeling a strong, balmy breeze accompanied by driving rain from Hurricane Dorian! - and if so, I hope you and your family and friends are safe and sound.

The first Wednesday of the month for September, October and November, I will be featuring a holiday card to help inspire you to get started on your holiday cards. If you are like me, I have a very LONG holiday card list so I need to start early with multiple designs to keep from burn out. I also need quick and simple to get the job done.

My card today features the Dashing Deer Stamp Set and coordinating Detailed Deer Dies introduced in the 2018 Holiday Catalog. It is a current stamp set found in the Annual Catalog (p. 71, the die is on p. 192).
Easy Handmade Holiday Card Using Stampin' Up! Dashing Deer Stamp Set
This is a fairly basic design concept with one layer of DSP for the background (cut 4" x 5 1/4" and cut in half, or maybe another dimension, say 2 1/2 and 2 3/4) to use the reverse side as an accent piece. I did hide the seam with a 1" wide strip of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock, topped with a piece of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon. [Edited: Oops, this picture shows the retired Striped Burlap Trim; I had a spool of this ribbon in my holiday box and forgot this ribbon did not carry over. The Burlap Ribbon looks just fine here as well.] Then embellish with one of the cutest deer, stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and cut using the dies. You will notice that the DSP is the Dashing Along DSP from last year -- it is currently on the Clearance Rack for $4.40. (Do I need to say, Hurry!)

Stamps:

Dashing Deer Stamp Set (AC p. 71)

Ink:

Regals Classic Stampin' Ink Cherry Cobbler (AC p. 163)
Regals Classic Stampin' Ink Shaded Spruce (AC p. 163)

Paper:

Neutrals Crumb Cake Card Stock (AC p. 172)
Regals Cherry Cobbler Card Stock (AC p. 163)
Whisper White Card Stock (AC p. 169)
Sparkle Glimmer Paper (AC p. 169)
Dashing Along DSP (Item # 149903, Clearance Rack)

Tools/Accessories:

Detailed Deer Dies (AC p. 192)
Banner Triple Punch (AC p. 186) or Tailored Tag Punch (AC p. 187) - for flagging the ends of the sentiment
*or you could just snip the ends with the Paper Snips (AC p. 189) whatever suits you best
Burlap Ribbon, 5/8" (AC p. 175)

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I sure hope you have enjoyed my card featuring Dashing Deer. Leave a comment below with a trail to find you so I can see your creations.
