October Simple Stamping Challenge Using Country Home Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. Last week on my blog I featured a quick and easy handmade card using the Country Home Stamp Set (click HERE in case you missed it). It was my submission for the monthly Paper Crafting Blog Hop I participate in with several other Stampin' Up! demonstrators. It is a fun group of demonstrators from the US and other countries and we have a great time showing you (and each other) our ideas, tips and tricks.

Today I thought it might be fun to try a Simple Stamping Challenge by Stamping Up a/k/a #simplestamping. The October challenge is to create a card using stamps, ink, paper, and punches. The theme is "Thank You."
Challenge, Country Home, Punches, #simplestamping
My card features the beautiful floral arrangement on the "inside" of a Whisper White Note Card and I used the 2" circle punch on the front panel to create negative space, i.e. the peek-a-boo effect (hum, really hard to see in this photo though, my apologies). I finished the opening with a frame of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock double-punched with the 2-1/4" and 2" circle punches. Color is added to the floral arrangement with a Blender Pen and several ink pads (see the supplies list below). An alternative would have been to use the Stampin' Write Markers or the Stampin' Blends, however, I was unsure if Markers or Blends would be considered "ink" under the rules of the challenge.
Challenge, Country Home, Punches, #simplestamping
This photo is the original design. It is exactly the same as the card above except it eliminates the Cherry Cobbler Cardstock frame around the peek-a-boo effect and the edges are sponged with Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have enjoyed my #simplestamping card featuring the Country Home Stamp Set. I know that I have enjoyed sharing it with you.

Easy Handmade Card Using Around the Corner Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!

Hello, my crafty friends. This week I thought I would share a greeting card for a celebration of any kind. This card uses the cutest stamp set, Around the Corner (AC p. 157). I think you should add this stamp set to your wish list!

Easy Handmade Card Around the Corner Stamp Set sandee904

In creating this card I decided to use Stampin' Up! colors Night of Navy and Crumb Cake so the card will easily work for celebrations for male or female recipients. There is just a hint of Mango Melody which could be changed to your favorite accent color. The Crumb Cake layer is embossed using the Subtle 3D embossing folder (AC p. 199)

For embellishments, I opted to use a piece of the new 3/8" (1 cm) Denim Ribbon (AC p. 174) behind the stack of images and three of the versatile Clear Epoxy Droplets (AC p. 178) in a row right above the ribbon on the right hand side.

You could make a stack of these pretty quickly. Leave the stamping of the inside sentiment for later -- save them for a future emergency card situation for any occasion!

Stamps:
Around the Corner (AC p. 157)

Ink:
Neutrals Classic Stampin' Ink Night of Navy (AC p. 162)
Neutrals Classic Stampin' Ink Crumb Cake (AC p. 162)
Brights Classics Stampin' Ink Mango Melody (AC 162)

Paper:
Neutrals Night of Navy Card Stock (AC p. 162)
Neutrals Crumb Cake Card Stock (AC p. 162)
Whisper White Card Stock (AC p. 169)

Tools/Accessories:
Layering Squares dies (AC p. 194)
Stitched Shapes dies (AC p. 196)
Subtle 3D embossing folder (AC p. 199)
3/8" (1 cm) Denim Ribbon (AC p. 174)
Clear Epoxy Droplets (AC p. 178)

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I sure hope you have enjoyed my card featuring Around the Corner. Leave a comment below with a trail to find you so I can see your creations.

Colorful Seasons Papercrafters Blog Hop

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the September Paper Crafting Blog Hop! Once again I am participating in this blog hop with several fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from the United States,  Australia and United Kingdom. You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Sue Boerner's blog. Welcome one and all.

This month's theme is any kind of fall project. I have chosen Colorful Seasons (AC p. 56) to show off Stampin' Up!'s beautiful fall colors. The colors used include Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso.
Colorful Seasons Seasonal Layers Adirondack
The Colorful Seasons Stamp Set coordinates with the Seasonal Layers Dies (AC p. 195), Don't you love those adirondack chairs!! And, there is the Buffalo Check Background Stamp (AC p. 156) again.

I am terribly lacking in fall sentiments since it is not such a "hot" theme here in Florida. I chose the word "welcome" from the Well Written dies (AC p. 197) and created "fall" combining letters from two other dies. (Well Said Stamp Set, AC p. 47 - not used on this card front, but coordinates with the dies.) Hard to tell, but the "fall" sign is hanging from the top sentiment flag using the linen thread.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I sure hope you have enjoyed my card featuring Colorful Seasons. Leave a comment below with a trail to find you so I can see your creations. Do not forget to check out the great project by our next blog hopper, Sue McDonald.

Easy Handmade Birthday Card for the August Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the August Paper Crafting Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop with several fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from the United States, Australia and United Kingdom. You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Amy Seigler's blog. Welcome one and all.

Happy Birthday! is the theme this month and I have chosen Broadway Birthday stamp set (AC p. 67) which was introduced in the 2018-19 Annual Catalog with the gorgeous Broadway Bound DSP featuring lots of gold, the now retired Lemon Lime Twist, and the 2018-20 in color Lovely Lipstick (and coordinated with the June 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit). Some really cute cards have been made with that collection so I thought we should show this set some new love.
The marquee die cut is from the coordinating Broadway Lights die collection (AC p. 191) and popped up with several Stampin' Dimensionals for height and stability. I picked this small gingham print in Coastal Cabana from the Brights 6x6 DSP pack (AC p. 162) for the background. Love the sparkly, adhesive-backed Glitter Enamel dots in graduating sizes.
I really spiced up the inside of my card with the birthday hats and candle. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is a combination of the Well Said stamp set (AC p. 47) and the Well Written dies (AC p. 197).

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I sure hope you have enjoyed my card featuring Broadway Birthday. Leave a comment below with a trail to find you so I can see your creations. Do not forget to check out the great project by our next blog hopper, Terri Stewart.

Daisy Delight Handmade Card for PCC346 Color Challenge

Hello, my crafty friends. This week I thought I would go outside my comfort zone and give a color challenge a try. If you follow my Facebook page with any regulatory, you know that I follow the weekly sketch challenges by Paper Craft Crew, and this week's challenge (PCC346) is a color challenge to use 3 of 4 colors: a bright yellow (Pineapple Punch), a bright green (Granny Apple Green), a blue (Blueberry Bushel) and a reddish orange (Poppy Parade).
PCC346
As soon as I saw these colors, I knew that this was the card that I would create, and that I would use all 4 colors!
Daisy Delight Handmade Card for PCC346 Color Challenge
This card features the large daisy from the Daisy Delight stamp set (AC p. 96) in Pineapple Punch and a splash of Poppy Parade for the center and punched using the coordinating Daisy Punch (AC p. 187). The Stitched Oval (#1, largest of the 4 dies) embellishment is framed with the Oval Scallop (#1, largest of the 7 dies) in Blueberry Bushel. I stamped the small trio of flowers in Pineapple Punch, layered on a strip of Granny Apple Green, topping a strip of the Buffalo Check background stamp (AC p. 156) in Blueberry Bushel to create the bottom border.

I opted to use the Scripty 3D embossing folder (AC p. 199) for the background instead of flowers or leaves, and I decided to leave off the sentiment on the front to allow for an any-occasion sentiment on the inside.

This is really a simple card and I hope my paper crafty friends will give it a try! I would love to see your creations. Thanks to the Paper Craft Crew for the opportunity to go outside my comfort zone in creating a card from a color scheme before selecting the stamp set!

Easy Handmade Double Z Fold Card Using Meant to Be Stamp Set and Dies

Hello, my crafty friends. Here's a fun handmade card using the Stitched Be Mine Dies (AC p. 195) that coordinate with the Meant to Be Stamp Set (AC p. 76). Technique is a Double Z fold.
Some of you may recall that we made a similar card for Valentine's Day earlier this year. I set aside an unused packet of materials to make this super cute card for my uncle and aunt's 60th wedding anniversary. The beautiful sentiment is from the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set (AC p. 14). Here is a snapshot of the full card.
This is really a simple card with a couple of scores lines. (My apologies for using the retired (again) All My Love Designer Series Paper. I am still in love with this paper!!)

I would be happy to share the dimensions for cutting and scoring a Double Z card. If you would like a detailed instruction sheet to help you recreate this card, please send me a message and I will respond with a list of dimensions and product guide.

Fun Handmade Birthday Card Using Animal Outing Stamp Set

(Edited for publication on August 1, 2019)

Hello, my crafty friends. Here's a fun handmade birthday card using the Animal Outing stamp set (AC p. 102) and a fun technique I saw in a recent video by fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Tami White.
Handmade Birthday Card Animal Outing Stamp Set Flip Pull Tab Technique
I made this super cute card for my nephew's super cute son's birthday. The pull tab is a 2" wide by 6" long strip of Soft Suede card stock fed through a hole in the top layer using the Classic Label punch. It is pretty simple even though it appears to be complicated. (My apologies for using the retired Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper. I couldn't resist.)

If you would like a detailed instruction sheet to help you recreate this card, please send me a message and I will respond with a list of dimensions and product guide.

Easy Handmade Card Using Butterfly Gala Stamp Set 2.0

Hello, my crafty friends. Here's a quick and easy remake of one of our June cards in a basic layout using the Butterfly Gala stamp set (AC p. 46). If you missed that card, click HERE to see it.
This card "remake" uses identical supplies from the first card: the new in color Seaside Spray cardstock, topped with a 1/4" smaller layer using the Buffalo Check Background stamp in the coordinating ink. However, the Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Well Said stamp set and coordinating Well Written dies (AC p. 47, 197) and the sweet little flower from the Perennial Birthday stamp set (AC p. 66).

If you would like a detailed instruction sheet to help you recreate this card, please send me a message and I will respond with a list of dimensions and product guide.

Papercrafters Monthly Blog Hop Featuring Ribbon and Embellishments

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the July Paper Crafting Blog Hop Bling Spotlight! I am participating in this blog hop with several fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from the United States,  Australia and United Kingdom. You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Sue Boerner's blog. Welcome one and all.

Our blog hop this month spotlights current ribbons and embellishments in any type of project. Now what should we do? I have had this idea for a partial die cut card featuring the new Magnolia Lane Suite (see AC pp. 36-39) since I first saw this bundle. It is hard to tell from this photo, but the magnolia is partially cut from the front flap of the card and the 2" strip of DSP and the 1/2" strip of Basic Black Cardstock behind the magnolia are adhered to the the "inside" of the card.
Papercrafting Monthly Blog Hop July Magnolia Lane
Without the partial die cutting technique, the card is fairly simple, however...
Papercrafting Monthly Blog Hop July Magnolia Lane
...tiny changes of the Basic Black strip next to the DSP strip on the inside of the card to the smooth texture of a strip of the 1/2" Black Satin Ribbon (AC p. 175) and the addition of the Clear Epoxy Droplets (see AC p. 178) on the front panel really make this simple card, elegant. (I decided not to use the Cork Embellishments from the suite for this card. I will save them for another card!)

The coloring of the flower was Stampin' Blends in So Saffron, Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake.

A detailed instruction sheet is available upon request with any purchase of $20 or more through my online store using this month's host code.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I sure hope you have enjoyed my card using ribbon and embellishments from the new 2019-20 Annual Catalog. Leave a comment below with a trail to find you so I can see your creations.

Do not forget to check out the great project by our next blog hopper, Anastasia Radloff.

If you are unfamiliar with this promotion, for every $50 USD purchase before July 31 (before shipping and tax), you earn a $5 USD Bonus Days coupon code that can be used August 1–31. I will continue my product share (a surprise of ribbon or embellishment) for each order over $50 that uses the July Host Code -- MTXDQHTN. Message me for more details.
Stampin Up Bonus Days July 1 to July 31
Extra, Extra! The promotion so nice, we named it twice. From July 1 until August 31, join my team - members will receive an additional $30 to put toward products in their Starter Kit. Then you will receive an EXTRA BONUS, a $10 coupon code the following month.
Hope you were able to subscribe in time for the July Paper Pumpkin kit.  As you know, the July Paper Pumpkin kit coordinates with 3 new suites (collection of stamps, paper, dies, punches, DSP, ribbon, embellishments) from the 2019-20 annual catalog. The kit is already packed with goodies to make 9 full-sized cards. Follow my Facebook page for discussions with other Paper Pumpkin subscribers. Not a subscriber already? No problem. Contact me and let's get you signed up by August 10 in time for the next kit so that you do not miss out any more!
If you placed an order from me last year, you received a copy of the new 2019-20 Annual Catalog in the mail.  If you did not receive one, please contact me immediately and let's fix that. If you do not already have a demonstrator, it would be my pleasure to be your enabler (er, I mean demonstrator) and get a copy of your very own. Chock full of inspiration and ideas. As always, if you have any questions, or need any assistance whatsoever, contact me in your favorite method of communication. :)
