Papercrafters Monthly Blog Hop Featuring Ribbon and Embellishments

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the July Paper Crafting Blog Hop Bling Spotlight! I am participating in this blog hop with several fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from the United States,  Australia and United Kingdom. You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Sue Boerner's blog. Welcome one and all.

Our blog hop this month spotlights current ribbons and embellishments in any type of project. Now what should we do? I have had this idea for a partial die cut card featuring the new Magnolia Lane Suite (see AC pp. 36-39) since I first saw this bundle. It is hard to tell from this photo, but the magnolia is partially cut from the front flap of the card and the 2" strip of DSP and the 1/2" strip of Basic Black Cardstock behind the magnolia are adhered to the the "inside" of the card.

Without the partial die cutting technique, the card is fairly simple, however...

...tiny changes of the Basic Black strip next to the DSP strip on the inside of the card to the smooth texture of a strip of the 1/2" Black Satin Ribbon (AC p. 175) and the addition of the Clear Epoxy Droplets (see AC p. 178) on the front panel really make this simple card, elegant. (I decided not to use the Cork Embellishments from the suite for this card. I will save them for another card!)

The coloring of the flower was Stampin' Blends in So Saffron, Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake.

A detailed instruction sheet is available upon request with any purchase of $20 or more through my online store using this month's host code.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I sure hope you have enjoyed my card using ribbon and embellishments from the new 2019-20 Annual Catalog. Leave a comment below with a trail to find you so I can see your creations.

Do not forget to check out the great project by our next blog hopper, Anastasia Radloff.

Bonus Days are back!! If you are unfamiliar with this promotion, for every $50 USD purchase before July 31 (before shipping and tax), you earn a $5 USD Bonus Days coupon code that can be used August 1–31. I will continue my product share (a surprise of ribbon or embellishment) for each order over $50 that uses the July Host Code -- MTXDQHTN. Message me for more details.
Stampin Up Bonus Days July 1 to July 31
Extra, Extra! The promotion so nice, we named it twice. From July 1 until August 31, join my team - members will receive an additional $30 to put toward products in their Starter Kit. Then you will receive an EXTRA BONUS, a $10 coupon code the following month.
Hope you were able to subscribe in time for the July Paper Pumpkin kit.  As you know, the July Paper Pumpkin kit coordinates with 3 new suites (collection of stamps, paper, dies, punches, DSP, ribbon, embellishments) from the 2019-20 annual catalog. The kit is already packed with goodies to make 9 full-sized cards. Follow my Facebook page for discussions with other Paper Pumpkin subscribers. Not a subscriber already? No problem. Contact me and let's get you signed up by August 10 in time for the next kit so that you do not miss out any more!
If you placed an order from me last year, you received a copy of the new 2019-20 Annual Catalog in the mail.  If you did not receive one, please contact me immediately and let's fix that. If you do not already have a demonstrator, it would be my pleasure to be your enabler (er, I mean demonstrator) and get a copy of your very own. Chock full of inspiration and ideas. As always, if you have any questions, or need any assistance whatsoever, contact me in your favorite method of communication. :)
