Wood Words Card for Patriotic Celebrations Blog Hop

Good day my crafty friends. Welcome to the June Blog Hop! I am participating again in a blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the United States, United Kingdom and Canada! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Elizabeth Green's blog - Happy Canada Day!! Welcome one and all.

The theme for our blog hop this month is anything patriotic. Here in the States, the next patriotic celebration is America's birthday on July 4th a/k/a the Fourth of July. Celebrations include parades, picnics with lots of good food and music and the day concludes with spectacular fireworks in the sky once it is dark. Nothing wrong with thanking those that make this day special with a thank you for your service card!!

This tag card uses the Wood Words stamp set and two of the new 2018-20 in colors, Blueberry Bushel and Lovely Lipstick. These colors really look great together. Notice I was able to sneak in a cat in the bottom left corner. So happy the Cat Punch is still available!

On the inside of the card I stamped the thank you sentiment on three stamped hearts (love the country heart stamp) and the image on top is the scrap of the tag/flag layer with an extra star.

I sure hope you have enjoyed my card and I hope your celebrations are fantastic. Leave a comment below with a trail to find you so I can see your creations.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Make sure you keep hopping along to see all the other great cards and projects. Click on the "Next" button below to visit Sue Kremer's blog.

Easy to Make This Little Piggy Card

Good day my crafty friends. Today's card is from a previous class last year.that features this adorable pig from This Little Piggy stamp set.

Not sure if you can tell from the photo, but I decided to stamp the pig on Blushing Bride cardstock with Stazon black ink and fussy cut. At the time, I do not think I had the new Stampin' Blends or maybe I would have given it a try here. I stamped the pig with flower image again on Whisper White cardstock and adhered my fussy cut pig right over the top. Worked like a charm! Before adding the sentiment and grass, I used the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes dies so that I had proper placement. Then largest scallop circle die from the Layering Circles is Pool Party.

The second sentiment is from the retired Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, but I am sure we can find a sentiment from the new Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. And this sentiment is finished off with a couple of wraps of linen thread tied in a knot.

Thank you for stopping in to catch up on my cardmaking today! Leave a comment below with a trail to find you so I can see your creations.

Pick a Pennant Card using the new Stamparatus

Today I am sharing a cute card I made using the new Pick a Pennant stamp set teamed with the new Stamparatus. The stamp set is bundled with the Playful Pennants Framelits Dies, however, I did not use the framelits in making this card. (Did you notice that this month's host code image uses the Pick a Pennant stamps?)

Don't you love the new 2018-20 In Colors?. The card base is Pineapple Punch, a vibrant yellow. The main image is layered on Lovely Lipstick cut at 5 1/4" x 4". Each banner is stamped in Pineapple Punch and the flags are stamped with Lovely Lipstick or alternating Call Me Clover/Blueberry Bushel. (The 5th In Color - Grapefruit Grove does not make an appearance on this card.)

Have you tried the new Stamparatus yet? I would be delighted to demonstrate the use of this fantastic stamp positioning tool at a workshop for you and your friends. It is simply awesome.

Thank you for stopping in to catch up on my cardmaking today! Leave a comment below with a trail to find you so I can see your creations.

Easy to Make Wood Words Card

Well, life gets in the way of things and sometimes plans have to be shuffled. That was this week! I have been posting weekly on Wednesdays, but this weekend was my birthday celebrations so that left no "me" time to prepare for this weeks blog. Let's just move on.

This is a quick card that we made last year using Wood Words stamp set, which has carried over to the 2018-19 annual catalog. I am planning to remake this card for the June Monthly Blog Hop so check back on the June the 20th for the reveal.

This is truly a quick and easy card so no instructions today, but if you are stumped by anything, message me and I will get right back to you.

Have a great week and...

Easy to Make Weather Together Card

Today I wanted to share with you a card using the Weather Together Stamp Set and Die Cuts.

I have divided this landscape card into three sections using one of the thinner tapes in the Basics Washi Tape pack. A sentiment running lengthwise along the left-hand side is one of the classic card designs - and one of my favorites!

The last day to order this stamp set and die cut bundle is tomorrow, May 31, as they will retire when the new catalog goes live on June 1.

As always, I would love to see your creations with this stamp set so drop a comment below with a trail on how to find it.

Daisy Delight Bundle for Birthdays

Today makes my 4-month anniversary for keeping my commitment to blog every Wednesday. I must admit that I did not think that I could do it, but (YAY) I did!

I want to share with you another version of the card I made for my Mother's Day cards. If you would like to see the original post from May 9th.  Click Here

I have kept the basic design of this Daisy Delight card yet changed up the ribbon, the leaves, and the sentiment. I am going to be so sad to see the Painted with Love DSP retire - that little bit of gold splashes. So yummy.

You might notice that I ran out of the heart shapes from the Corrugated Elements group. I used the oval shape and punched a small heart to keep with the heart theme.

Leave a comment below with a method to reach you so I can see your creations with the Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy punch.

Father's Day Truly Tailored Card Recipe and Tips

Yesterday on the Blog Hop with several Stampin' Up! demonstrators, I shared my Father's Day card featuring the Truly Tailored Bundle and the True Gentlemen Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Buttons. I sure hope you enjoyed the blog hop. What a great group of ladies in this Blog Hop. They all love to share everything Stampin' Up! As promised, today I am sharing my tips and tricks for my card.

My goal is to utilize every inch of the DSP drives every cut of my DSP. Cutting this piece of the DSP at 4" x 3" will give you 12 card fronts (2 cuts of 4" down from the top and 3 cuts of 3" across from the side). The Dapper Denim piece is 4" x 2 1/4" so this layer totals 4" x 5 1/4". Then emboss using the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF).

To make the cute embellishment, after stamping the sentiment from the Truly Tailored stamp set i
n Dapper Denim on Very Vanilla Card Stock, instead of centering the sentiment in the Tailored Tag punch window, move the upper edge of the image for a cut that does not allow as much "white space." Maybe this picture will help.

Then adhere a scrap piece to the back of the sentiment for a "handle" and punch the lower edge of the sentiment close with a similar "white space" edge,

Then snip both sides to make the "white space" even around the sentiment.

Adhere to a full punch of Dapper Denim and stack on dimensionals with a twist of Burlap Ribbon. I secured the ribbon with small glue dots.

Finally, for the "Dad" flag, stamp on a strip of Dapper Denim, adhere to a slightly larger strip of Very Vanilla and flag both ends pushing the strip through the top of the Tailored Tag punch, line it up evenly (as shown, looks like a little house, right?) and punch.

So two additional uses for the Tailored Tag Punch. Yay! Then adhere a couple of the small True Gentlemen Buttons and this card is all set!!

I really hope you enjoyed my card and the Blog Hop See you next Wednesday for another new card.

Father's Day Blog Hop Featuring Truly Tailored Bundle

Welcome to the Father's Day Blog Hop! I am participating again in a blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you maybe coming from Emilie Poncelet's blog. Welcome one and all. The theme for our blog this month is to create a card or project for Father's Day. Here in the States, that is celebrated on June 17th.

My card features the Truly Tailored bundle and the True Gentlemen DSP (Designer Series paper) from the Occasions catalog. The stamp set and the DSP will no longer be available after May 31, but the Tailored Tag Punch will carry over. Did you happen to notice the other use for this punch on my card? The top point of the punch is used to create the flag on the Dad banner (see next image). This punch will make an awesome addition to your collection and complement the Banner Triple Punch for all your flags! Check back tomorrow for some quick tips on making the Dad banner.

Although Night of Navy was one of the featured colors in the DSP, I love the way Dapper Denim brings this card together. And how about the large, all caps "DAD." I love one word sentiments, especially when they are in large fonts -- and maybe it is just because they are more pleasing to my aging eyes.  Here's a quick peek at the inside of the card.

Leave a comment below with a trail to find you. I would be interested in seeing your creations.

Daisy Delight Bundle for Mother's Day

Today I thought I would share a Mother's Day card with you.  And, I thought that we should use my favorite stamp set -- Daisy Delight -- and my favorite DSP (Designer Series Paper) -- Painted with Love Speciality DSP from the Occasions Catalog. Sometimes I struggle with collage-type cards because I prefer simple and clean, but I think this one card turned out pretty good.  What do you think?  What would you do differently? Please share your ideas.

Also, I have a challenge for you.  Can you name the 3 retiring products I used on my card? Every year with the release of the new annual catalog, as you may know, not everything carries over. Sad to see so many things go, but it is necessary to make room for the new, amazing products. I know you are going to love everything.  Message me if you need a catalog.

Sneak Peek Animal Outing

I want to introduce you to one of the goodies from my goodie bag I received at Onstage 2018 in Atlanta -- Animal Outing. This stamp set is from the Animal Expedition Suite that will become available when the 2018-19 Annual Catalog goes live on June 1.

The recipients of my card recently became parents of their first child, a baby boy! I am so happy for the lucky parents. I decided to make a 3x3 card to accompany my gift. It is a relatively simple watercolor card. I used the smooth coloring Watercolor Pencils (Early Espresso, Old Olive, Pacific Point) and a Blender Pen. I used my favorite Dapper Denim card stock and ink. I will really miss this in-color when it retires on May 31.

Now for some business.

The Paper Pumpkin deadline is May 10. Hope you decide to subscribe to this awesome kit program. If you don't subscribe already, there is special pricing for signing up for Paper Pumpkin between now and May 10. Coffee Break Designer Series Paper Follow Up

Just a quick follow up to my post on Wednesday. In yesterday's blog hop, I shared my Coffee Cafe' Card version 2.0 where I mixed up the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper (DSP) to make a new card out of leftover packets from a previous card. I hope you enjoyed the blog hop. What a fabulous group of demonstrators I have found that love to share everything Stampin' Up!

As promised, today I am sharing my template and instructions for cutting the DSP to make this card.

The Crumb Cake card stock base is a standard A2, 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored at 4 1/4" (envelope size - 4-3/8” x 5-3/4”). The next layer is Soft Sky card stock, 4" x 5 1/4". This will be the base for layering our cut pieces and the new background for our cute, cute coffee cup embellishment.

Instructions for cutting DSP:

The original size of the DSP from the previous pack was 3 7/8" x 5". The first step is to cut 1/8" off both the short and long sides (Cuts #1, #2 grayed out with a Tranquil Tide Stampin' Write Marker, of course!). The new measurement of the DSP is 3 3/4" x 4 7/8". (Pardon my rudimentary drawings, but cute balloons, right?)

Next cut a 1" strip from the long side (Cut #3). You can chose either long side. I picked the left side to take advantage of the numbers along the edge for this picture.  Place both pieces together and cut at 3" (Cut #4) so that there is the nice, big piece of your "favorite" side of the DSP for the bottom left of your card front.

That is really all there is to it. However, if you are starting from all scraps, the sizes are (top left, clockwise, from the photo of the card, not the template.):

1. 1" x1 7/8'
2. 2 5/8" x 1 7/8"
3. 1" x 3"
4. 2 5/8" x 3"

Shameless plugs:

Last Chance for Retiring Products:
Select products from the 2018 occasions catalog and 2017-2018 annual catalog are retiring—and this is your last chance to get them before they are gone. IMPORTANT NOTE: A lot of the bundle products will carry over to the new 2018-2019 annual catalog, however they will no longer have the bundle pricing (10% discount). You can find more details in my online store. Use the shop now button, and be sure to use the April Hostess Code NE24A473. Do not use the hostess code if your order will exceed $150 so you will earn the Stampin' Rewards!

Paper Pumpkin:
If you don't subscribe already, here's a great incentive. Special pricing for signing up for Paper Pumpkin between now and May 10. Creativity Starts with Paper Pumpkin -- get 50% off for two straight months.  You have to sign up by May 10. Use the code SAVEFIFTY0418 Let me know if you have any questions.

Coffee Break Designer Series Paper

Welcome to the April Blog Hop. Once again I am participating in a hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you maybe coming from Darla Roberts' blog. Welcome one and all. The theme for our blog this month is to create a card or project using Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. Several months ago, I featured this card using the Coffee Cafe' Bundle and Coffee Break Designer Series Paper at a workshop. Actually it is a pretty simple card. The stamp sets and die cuts really do take all the work out of card making. Add a bow with the beautiful ribbon and done!

For some reason I never got around to breaking down my extra card packets and putting away all the supplies. This blog hop card is going to show you how simple it is to take those already cut card packets and pieces to make a new card!

Full directions will be in a follow-up blog post tomorrow in order to keep this blog hop short, but by simply taking off 1/8" along both the short and long sides of the Coffee Break DSP piece and making 2 cuts to divide the DSP piece into 4 different shapes, this card has a totally new look!

Leave a comment below with a trail to find you. I would be interested in seeing your creations.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Make sure you keep hopping along to see all the other great cards and projects. Click on the "Next" button below to visit Melanie Coverston's blog.

Creativity Starts with Paper Pumpkin -- get 50% off for two straight months.  You have to sign up by May 10. Use the code SAVEFIFTY0418. I would love to see what you have done with your kits.

Last call for retiring products from the Annual Catalog and Occasions Catalog.  Available through May 31 or while supplies last. Normally all stamp sets are available until very close to May 31, but all ribbon and accessories are first come, first serve and will not be replenished once the supplies are depleted.

As always, it would be my pleasure to be your demonstrator if you do not already have one. Message me if you have any questions or need any assistance.

This month's hostess code is NE24A473. Please use this code unless your order already qualifies for Stampin' Rewards.

Stamp On!!
