Daisy Delight Handmade Card for PCC346 Color Challenge

Hello, my crafty friends. This week I thought I would go outside my comfort zone and give a color challenge a try. If you follow my Facebook page with any regulatory, you know that I follow the weekly sketch challenges by Paper Craft Crew, and this week's challenge (PCC346) is a color challenge to use 3 of 4 colors: a bright yellow (Pineapple Punch), a bright green (Granny Apple Green), a blue (Blueberry Bushel) and a reddish orange (Poppy Parade).

As soon as I saw these colors, I knew that this was the card that I would create, and that I would use all 4 colors!

This card features the large daisy from the Daisy Delight stamp set (AC p. 96) in Pineapple Punch and a splash of Poppy Parade for the center and punched using the coordinating Daisy Punch (AC p. 187). The Stitched Oval (#1, largest of the 4 dies) embellishment is framed with the Oval Scallop (#1, largest of the 7 dies) in Blueberry Bushel. I stamped the small trio of flowers in Pineapple Punch, layered on a strip of Granny Apple Green, topping a strip of the Buffalo Check background stamp (AC p. 156) in Blueberry Bushel to create the bottom border.

I opted to use the Scripty 3D embossing folder (AC p. 199) for the background instead of flowers or leaves, and I decided to leave off the sentiment on the front to allow for an any-occasion sentiment on the inside.

This is really a simple card and I hope my paper crafty friends will give it a try! I would love to see your creations. Thanks to the Paper Craft Crew for the opportunity to go outside my comfort zone in creating a card from a color scheme before selecting the stamp set!

Daisy Delight Thank You for Your Kindness Card

Today's 3x3 card is made using the Daisy Delight stamp set. Just a quick post to keep everyone stamping.

When last year's catalog was released, one of the first stamp sets that I just had to have was the Daisy Delight bundle. I still love this bundle today. Seriously, I think this post will make the third post in 2 months using this stamp set. Yes - I do like this stamp set!

Here is the 3x3 thank you card I made last year to thank my customer's for purchases.

I thought it might be fun to remake this card in Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight.

This time I tried stamping the daisy twice (stamp first, mask, turn the block a bit and then stamp a second time). I love that the 1/4" double-stitched ribbon and the Petal Pair TIEF carried over. Nice assist, right.

Daisy Delight Bundle for Birthdays

Today makes my 4-month anniversary for keeping my commitment to blog every Wednesday. I must admit that I did not think that I could do it, but (YAY) I did!

I have kept the basic design of this Daisy Delight card yet changed up the ribbon, the leaves, and the sentiment. I am going to be so sad to see the Painted with Love DSP retire - that little bit of gold splashes. So yummy.

You might notice that I ran out of the heart shapes from the Corrugated Elements group. I used the oval shape and punched a small heart to keep with the heart theme.

Daisy Delight Bundle for Mother's Day

Today I thought I would share a Mother's Day card with you.  And, I thought that we should use my favorite stamp set -- Daisy Delight -- and my favorite DSP (Designer Series Paper) -- Painted with Love Speciality DSP from the Occasions Catalog. Sometimes I struggle with collage-type cards because I prefer simple and clean, but I think this one card turned out pretty good.  What do you think?  What would you do differently? Please share your ideas.

Also, I have a challenge for you.  Can you name the 3 retiring products I used on my card? Every year with the release of the new annual catalog, as you may know, not everything carries over. Sad to see so many things go, but it is necessary to make room for the new, amazing products. I know you are going to love everything.  Message me if you need a catalog.
