Easy Handmade Birthday Card for the August Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the August Paper Crafting Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop with several fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from the United States, Australia and United Kingdom. You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Amy Seigler's blog. Welcome one and all.

Happy Birthday! is the theme this month and I have chosen Broadway Birthday stamp set (AC p. 67) which was introduced in the 2018-19 Annual Catalog with the gorgeous Broadway Bound DSP featuring lots of gold, the now retired Lemon Lime Twist, and the 2018-20 in color Lovely Lipstick (and coordinated with the June 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit). Some really cute cards have been made with that collection so I thought we should show this set some new love.
The marquee die cut is from the coordinating Broadway Lights die collection (AC p. 191) and popped up with several Stampin' Dimensionals for height and stability. I picked this small gingham print in Coastal Cabana from the Brights 6x6 DSP pack (AC p. 162) for the background. Love the sparkly, adhesive-backed Glitter Enamel dots in graduating sizes.
I really spiced up the inside of my card with the birthday hats and candle. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is a combination of the Well Said stamp set (AC p. 47) and the Well Written dies (AC p. 197).

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I sure hope you have enjoyed my card featuring Broadway Birthday. Leave a comment below with a trail to find you so I can see your creations. Do not forget to check out the great project by our next blog hopper, Terri Stewart.

All the supplies used in this project can be ordered through my online store. Please use the host code found on the sidebar of my blog when ordering through my online store. If you are interested in the detailed instruction sheet with measurements, please send me an email or contact me on Facebook after placing your $20 or more order through my online store. Do NOT use this Hostess Code if your order already qualifies for Stampin' Rewards ($150 USD) -- you are still eligible to receive the detailed instruction sheet if your order was placed through my online store.
Bonus Days are back!! If you are unfamiliar with this promotion, for every $50 USD purchase before July 31 (before shipping and tax), you earned a $5 USD Bonus Days coupon code that can be used August 1–31.
Extra, Extra! The promotion so nice, we named it twice. From July 1 until August 31, join my team - members will receive an additional $30 to put toward products in their Starter Kit. Then you will receive an EXTRA BONUS -- a $10 coupon code the following month.
Hope you were able to subscribe in time for the August Paper Pumpkin kit. Don't forget to get your add on pack of cards and envelopes. If you placed an order from me over the past year, you will receive a copy of the new 2019 Holiday Catalog in the mail soon (if you don't have it already). If you did not receive one, please contact me immediately and let's fix that. If you do not already have a demonstrator, it would be my pleasure to be your enabler (er, I mean demonstrator) and get a copy of your very own. Chock full of inspiration and ideas. As always, if you have any questions, or need any assistance whatsoever, contact me in your favorite method of communication. :)

  1. Great Birthday card! Love the colors and the inside as well. I love to see the inside of a card with a little decoration.

    1. Thank you, Amy. I was so happy to see Coastal Cabana return to the line up!

  2. Party hats on the inside are a nice surprise!

    1. I love the party hats!! Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Love your card Sandy. Coastal Cabana is one of my favs too, along with Bermuda Bay. I'm also fond of the glitter enamel dots and the fab extras you have inside. Also nice to see a different colour scheme to the one in the DSP this set was released with.

    1. Thanks, Netty. When I fist picked the DSP I thought it was the Bermuda Bay until I started stamping and it didn't match!

  4. Not sure why I came up as unknown, Annette McMillan.

  5. I am glad you clarified, Annette. (Netty, right?)

  6. Great card! Gingham gets me every time. Love how you carried the party to the inside of the card, too. Wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
