Quick and Easy Handmade Card Featuring Warm Hugs Stamp Set and Dies v2

Hello, my crafty friends. So, how is your holiday card making going? I have been working on them for the last month now off and on. Still several cards to make before I have completed my "list." Here is another card using the Warm Hugs Bundle to coordinate with my gift cards holders.

Warm Hugs Holiday Card

The card base is a side fold A2 (8 1/2" x 11" sheet, scored at 4 1/4", cut at 5 1/2") in Mossy Meadow cardstock. The mat is two separate sheets from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP (top cut 4" x 2 1/4", bottom cut 4" x 3"). The Pear Pizzazz strip is cut using one of the decorative scalloped dies for the coffee cup "sleeve" in the Warm Wraps Dies. It is decorated with alternating Red Rhinestone gems and die cut candy canes. The circle embellishment build is also created with stamps and dies from this bundle. Love the Real Red Braided Linen Trim (and it curls too!!) for the small bow.

The sentiment is stamped on a strip of Whisper White Cardstock flagged using the Banners Pick a Punch. 

I created a collection of gift-giving projects with the Warm Hugs Bundle. Instructions on requesting a pdf of the instructions is in the business section below my sign off.

November Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the November Paper Crafting Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from across the globe! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Carol Payne's blog. Welcome one and all.

For this month's blog hop, we are all featuring holiday-themed cards and projects using any current Stampin' Up! catalog product. I selected the Merry Moose Bundle for my card.

The card base is a side fold A2 (8 1/2" x 11" sheet, scored at 4 1/4", cut at 5 1/2") in Real Red cardstock. The mat build is a sheet from the Plaid Tidings 6" x 6" DSP (cut 3" x 5") and a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock (cut 2 1/4" x 4"). The sentiment is stamped on a 1/2" strip of Whisper White flagged using the Banners Pick a Punch. You could hand cut the flag, but why would you when the punch makes it so-o-o easy.

SIDE NOTE: I will be making lots of holiday cards using the Plaid Tidings 6" x 6" DSP from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog (MC pp. 56-57). I might have went a little overboard when select DSP was on sale last month!

Due to the restrictions on get togethers, my paper crafting groups have been meeting online via Zoom to finish our holiday cards, gifts and projects. We voted on three different stamp sets and bundles so I could focus on slightly more simple designs that would carry across all of our stamping selections and could easily be replicated with their own supplies from their craft stash. If you need measurements, just let me know. I think our pick, Merry Moose Bundle, and returning fave from last year, has won my heart.

Simple Stamping Challenge Featuring Merry Moose Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. In my last blog post (which published on Sunday) I announced that today's card would be a Simple Stamping card. You know how I feel -- simple is not always easy for me. The challenge for November is to create a card, any theme, with only stamps, ink, paper, and an embellishment of your choice!

The card base is a side fold A2 (8 1/2" x 11" sheet, scored at 4 1/4", cut at 5 1/2") in Shaded Spruce cardstock. The mat is piece of Crumb Cake cardstock (cut 4" x 5 1/4"). Admittedly, this card started as a full Whisper White card without a mat at all, but things sometimes do not go as planned. I really did not like all that "real estate" and then "fixing" it looked cluttered so I cut out the "moose parade" to a 1 3/4" strip and added 1/4" strips of Real Red to the top and bottom as a frame. The sentiment was stamped on a 1" square of Whisper White, close to the bottom edge, then I flag cut with my snips the top edge. My embellishment - the simple Red Rhinestone. Super cute!!

Halloween Treats Wrap Up

Quick and Easy Handmade Gift Card Featuring Warm Hugs Stamp Set and Dies

Hello, my crafty friends. How are you all doing with your holiday card making? I still have plenty of cards to make before I have completed my "list." For today's card, I decided to combine my holiday gift tags with my card making.

This gift card holder uses a Whisper White note card for the base, or create your own from Whisper White cardstock (5" x 7", scored in the center at 3 1/2"). The mat is a piece of pattern paper from Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper (3 1/2" x 4"), leaving 1" along the bottom of the note card to stamp the sentiment from the Warm Hugs Stamp Set. DO NOT FORGET: The DSP is on sale yet (15% off) through Saturday, October 31!

The gift tag embellishment build is created using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, plus super cute stamping and die cuts from the Warm Hugs Bundle: Warm Hugs Stamp Set and coordinating Warm Wraps Dies. Love the Vellum accent and the Braided Linen Trim (it curls!!). Inside I created a slot for a gift card with a 3 1/2" x 2" strip of Whisper White (and since the gift card must go vertical in a note card, the circle punch access at the top is not necessary).

October Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the October Paper Crafting Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from across the globe! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Sue McDonald's blog. Welcome one and all.

This month we are featuring fall-themed projects or projects demonstrating Stampin' Up!'s fabulous pattern paper called Designer Series Paper (DSP). It is not a secret that select packages of DSP are on sale this month at a 15% discount.

For my cards today I decided to use the Life is Beautiful Stamp Set, designed by Million Sales Achiever LeeAnn Graff, using both a fall theme and Plaid Tidings DSP.

I cannot believe I waited this long to use this stamp set. When I first saw the bird house in this stamp set, I had to have it. Now I have found that I love this tree! For the leaves I used a group of colors from a color challenge last week (The Paper Players Color Challenge PP512: Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow and Cinnamon Cider). The black plaid strip along the left side is a 3/4" strip from the workshop cards we made this past Saturday.

This weekend I watched a video where LeeAnn Graff shows several cards she designed using her stamp set. In one of her cards she used purple for the leaves. I thought I should try it - I used Rich Razzleberry which coordinates with this strip from the Plaid Tidings DSP.

Quick and Easy Handmade Card Featuring So Sentimental Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. Super busy, crafty weekend for me. How about you? I did not want to miss posting this week so this is a quick card I made for some yummy, pumpkin pie gifting this Thanksgiving holiday. For today's card I used the heart punches for the sentiment. Although I tried to keep this card simple, I did sneak in a strip of cardstock with the stitched edge from the large rectangle die. Once again, I am highly recommending that you add to your collection the Heart Punch Pack for quick layering.

The card base is a side fold A2 (8 1/2" x 11" sheet, scored at 4 1/4", cut at 5 1/2") in Whisper White cardstock. The mat is Pumpkin Pie cardstock (cut 4" x 5 1/4"). The pattern paper is a sheet of Pumpkin Pie from the Regals 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (cut 3 3/4" x 5") then trim off 1 3/4" and pick which side of the pattern paper goes where! The heart on the sentiment build is from the Dog Punch. Super cute!.

Simple Stamping Challenge Featuring So Sentimental

Hello, my crafty friends. What crafty projects were you working on for World Card Making Day? Don't forget to send out those cards this week. #makeacardsendacard 

Simple Stamping Challenge for October is to create a Thank You card with only stamps, ink, paper, and ribbon. Ribbon is always a nice way to add texture to your projects.

This card uses a note card for the base, or create your own (5" x 7", scored in the center at 3 1/2") with Whisper White cardstock. The mat is a piece of pattern paper from Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper (3 1/2" x 4"), leaving 1" along the bottom of the note card to stamp the sentiment from the So Sentimental Stamp Set. I masked the words above and below so it fits perfectly.

I wanted to use the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon on my card, but I felt like it was "lost" in the background, so I gently pressed the ribbon in my Mossy Meadow ink pad and, viola, created my own matching ribbon!
