Quick and Easy Handmade Card Featuring Pretty Perennials Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. Another crazy, busy week. How about you? This is a quick and easy card using my favorite retiring stamp set, Pretty Perennials (retires June 30). I also wanted to show off the new purple in color - Fresh Freesia. This is certainly a simple, pretty card.

The card base is a side fold, landscape A2 (8 1/2" x 11" sheet, cut in half at 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4") in Fresh Freesia cardstock. The flower images are stamped on Basic White cardstock cut 1" x 2 3/4" and layered on a strip of the coordinating DSP cut 1 1/4" x 3". You know I enjoy a fussy cut large word/sentiment!

May Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the May Paper Crafting Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from across the globe! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Julia Mazur's blog. Great project, Julia! Welcome one and all.

The theme for this month's blog hop is "thinking of you-guys." This month I have been using two of my favorite carry over stamp sets. Today's card features the Nothing's Better Than Stamp Set and the 2021-23 In Color Designer Series Paper introduced in the new Annual Catalog. The card design is based on a Freshly Made Sketch from a couple of weeks back.

The card base is a side fold, portrait A2 (8 1/2" x 11" sheet, cut in half at 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4") in Basic White cardstock. There are three (3) layers in the embellishment build of the circles from the Layering Circles Dies. The first scalloped circle is the new 2021-23 In Color in Evening Evergreen cardstock, the middle layer is the 2021-23 In Color 6" X 6" DSP, and the third layer is Basic White. 

I have used Evening Evergreen throughout this project: the paper, the ink for the images and sentiment, plus the die cut "coffee" twice and layered them to give my "coffee" some depth. The coffee cups...LOVE those retro coffee cups!!

This is a fairly simple card highlighting the use of one color and second generation stamping technique, plus layering die cuts for depth.

Quick and Easy Handmade Card Featuring Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. This week is super busy, but not too busy to whip up a card using the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set/Punch Bundle. It was certainly worth the wait.

The card base is a side fold, portrait A2 (8 1/2" x 11" sheet, cut in half at 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4") in Pacific Point cardstock. The random images of flowers and leaves are stamped on Basic White cardstock, cut 4" x 5 1/4".

The Granny Apple Green strip is 1 1/4" x 5 1/4" dry embossed using the Meadow Moments embossing folder. A skinny strip of Gold Foil is tucked along the right side to add some bling. The strawberries are inked in Poppy Parade and the stems are inked in Granny Apple Green, then punched using the coordinating Strawberry Builder Punch.

If you wanted to step this card up a bit more, those flowers and leaves could be stamped on scrap paper and are a match to the other two images on the Strawberry Builder Punch.

Choose your sentiment - I punched mine using the Label Me Fancy punch. I have used this technique many times recently with the ribbon tied sweetly with the linen thread. I really like it.

Simple Stamping Challenge Featuring Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. Have you seen the new catalog yet. Beautiful cover and full of great stamp sets inside. Yes! Today I thought I would share this super cute card using the Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set. Back in 2017, the companion Hey Chick Stamp Set was introduced as a Sale-A-Bration item. Turns out these wacky chickens are my favorite! The Simple Stamping Challenge is to create a card with stamps, ink and paper and one of the 3 themes for May allows the use of any stamp set in the new catalog. I love it!!

The card base is a side fold, portrait A2 (8 1/2" x 11" sheet, cut in half at 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4") in Basic White. The first mat layer is Blackberry Bliss cardstock, cut 4" x 5 1/4". The image is stamped on Basic White cardstock, cut 3 3/4" x 5". I colored using my Stampin' Blends. So simple.
