February Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project

Hello, my crafty friends. This week, as I promised, I have designed a super cute and easy handmade card using the beautiful stamp set from the February Paper Pumpkin kit, Lovely Day. This month's kit coordinates with the Happy Birthday to You Stamp Set (item 152308) - a Sale-A-Bration item which you can earn FREE with any $50 purchase. More details on Sale-A-Bration follows below in the business section.

The card base is Whisper White Cardstock. The second layer is Old Olive Cardstock (3.25" x 4") stamped along the left edge with the stamp that coordinates with the image of a slice of birthday cake and makes this cute trim! The embellishment build is a large scallop circle die of Rococo Rose Cardstock and the beautiful flower image from the Lovely Day stamp set, inked in coordinating Rococo Rose, and die cut with one of the large layering circle dies.

The second card in the picture is similar, however, I have colored the flower with Stampin' Write markers. Maybe I should have used Stampin' Blends since it was such a large image, but I kinda like it! What do you think?

Easy Handmade Card Featuring Painted Poppies Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. I am totally loving all the coordinating of the Painted Poppies Bundle and the Peaceful Moments Bundle! This week, however, I thought I would show you an easy handmade card using some basic stamping and coloring techniques and the Painted Poppies Stamp Set (no dies).

The card base is Sahara Sand Cardstock and the poppies are stamped using the Sahara Sand ink. This is called a monochromatic color scheme. The center row of poppies is one stamp, stamped twice using the masking technique, to create a continuing row of the poppies. I just used a scrap piece of copier paper to cover the first image of poppies to prevent overlapping. 

Like last week's project, I chose to make a bow from the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon -- it was simple to color the ribbon to match my card using the Poppy Parade Stampin' Blend.

January Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project

Hello, my crafty friends. This week, as I was putting together some of the cute mini cards from the January Paper Pumpkin kit, I thought it would be fun to come up with a full-sized card. This month's PP kit coordinates with the Heartfelt Stamp Set/Bundle (MC p. 10).

The card base is Whisper White Cardstock, then a layer of Mint Macaron (5.25" x 4") stamped with the Handwritten Background stamp in coordinating Mint Macaron classic ink (all not part of the PP kit). The embellishment build is one of the mini cards cut in half (3" x3") and the Mint Macaron mini card front becomes the first layer; the second layer is a 2.25" square of Mint Macaron (not part of the PP kit); and the third layer is the remaining white piece of the mini card stamped with the cute, flowery background stamp from the included I'll Bee Yours Photopolymer Stamp Set, cut down to 2.25" square.

The Rococo Rose flowery heart is one of the die cut images in the PP kit, and the Mint Macaron heart is another stamp included in the I'll Bee Yours Photopolymer Stamp set, punched with the solid heart from the heart punch pack. 

I chose to make a bow from the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon instead of the included baker's twine (I cannot get enough of this ribbon - I LOVE IT!!). I layered 2 of the purple sequins - one on top of the other - and one of the die cut bee images, both from the PP kit. This completes the card perfectly.
