Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the January Paper Crafting Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from the United States, United Kingdom and Australia! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Sandra Roberts' blog. Welcome one and all.

This month we are focusing on the great products from the new Sale-A-Bration brochure. For this card, I am using Lovely Lily Pad Stamp Set and the coordinating Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper (12 x 12). I think you will love the reversible images in this stamp set.
Simple Stamping Greeting Card
I tried and tried to write out step-by-step instructions on the cuts for this background, however, I think it might be easier with photos! The standard measurement for the first layer of a portrait card is 4" x 5 1/4". This pattern requires a 1/8" space between the parts - so START with a 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" layer of DSP instead. Image #1 - Cut one strip at 1 1/2" (remaining is 2 3/8") and then cut those two strips at 3" (remaining is 2 1/8"). Image #2 - Lay the pieces out as originally cut. Image #3 - Turn over two opposite corners. (I hope the pictures help make this simpler than it sounds!!)
Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I sure hope you have enjoyed my card. Leave a comment below with a trail to find you so I can see your creations. Do not forget to check out the great project by our next blog hopper, Sue McDonald.

#1 - Check for new products added to the Clearance Rack. I still cannot believe that The Everything Is Rosy Product Medley is still on the Clearance Rack, available for purchase at 15% off (while supplies last). If you need more information on Stampin' Up!'s product medley, message me for the flyer showing everything that is included. PLUS, that beautiful Rich Razzleberry 1/4" (6.4 mm) Velvet Ribbon and the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit. (You know, if you purchased all three of these products, you would earn a FREE SAB product!) Do not delay in placing your order.

(January 3 - June 2, 2020)

If you placed an order from me over the past year, you likely have already received a copy of the new 2020 Mini Catalog (formerly known as the Spring Occasions Catalog) in the mail. If you did not receive one, please contact me immediately and let's fix that. If you do not already have a demonstrator, it would be my pleasure to be your enabler (er, I mean demonstrator) and send you a copy of your very own. Chock full of inspiration and ideas.

As always, if you have any questions, or need assistance, contact me in your favorite method of communication. :)

    1. Thank you, Maureen. This colors in this DSP are so pretty.

  2. Love the way your stamped lily pad is echoed in the Designer Series Paper. Also, the use of different designs in 2 quadrants adds interest. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Looks simple to CASE with your helpful photo directions. Beautiful card too!

    1. Thank you. It was just too confusing otherwise.

  4. Wonderful! The Lily Impressions DSP is one of my favorites from the SAB catalog. I'll be casing this card! Thank you for sharing!
