Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the February Paper Crafting Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from the United States, United Kingdom and Australia! This month we continue to focus on the fantastic, free products from the new Sale-A-Bration brochure. For my card, I am using the Small Bloom Punch. The Small Bloom Punch was a free product with a $100 purchase. However, when I placed my order last month, I had a "moment" and must have really wanted the Lily Impressions DSP more than the coordinating Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set. Hum. Now what? Time to improvise. I think you will love the versatility of this small bloom punch.
The card base is an A2 with the fold at the top (cut 4.25 x 11, scored at 5.5). The first layer of the embellishment build is a 3 x 3 of the Blueberry Bushel from the 2018-20 In Color DSP, and the Whisper White layer is 2.5 x 2.5. Each flower is a build of two Small Bloom Punch flowers secured with a small dot of Tombow glue to hold them together and set upon a small strip of Call Me Clover. The centers are the Frosty Epoxy Droplets. A coordinating button with a tiny White Baker's Twine bow in the upper left-hand corner. A very small strip of Blueberry Bushel die cut with the long, scallop edge die from the Stitched Be Mine Dies is placed off center a smidge behind the embellishment build for an eye pleasing break from all that Lovely Lipstick!
The sentiments are from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set.
I think this card is super cute even without the stamped flower image. I will plan better next time. :)

This month we are focusing on the great products from the new Sale-A-Bration brochure. For this card, I am using Lovely Lily Pad Stamp Set and the coordinating Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper (12 x 12). I think you will love the reversible images in this stamp set.
I tried and tried to write out step-by-step instructions on the cuts for this background, however, I think it might be easier with photos! The standard measurement for the first layer of a portrait card is 4" x 5 1/4". This pattern requires a 1/8" space between the parts - so START with a 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" layer of DSP instead. Image #1 - Cut one strip at 1 1/2" (remaining is 2 3/8") and then cut those two strips at 3" (remaining is 2 1/8"). Image #2 - Lay the pieces out as originally cut. Image #3 - Turn over two opposite corners. (I hope the pictures help make this simpler than it sounds!!)

Hello, my crafty friends. Happy New Year! I took some time off over the holidays, but I tried to keep up with my blog and posting pictures of the fun holiday cards. I did totally miss last week. I hope you can forgive me. :)
This is going to be a very short post to show off this super cute and easy handmade thank you card featuring my favorite product suite from the 2019 Holiday Catalog -- Wrapped in Plaid Suite.
The base is Crumb Cake Cardstock, one layer build of the Designer Series Paper "DSP" - although this is a 6x6 Specialty series (5.25" x 4") - and a slightly off-center layer of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock (3" x 4.5"). I used some DSP scraps for a couple of the trees and Gold foil sheet for one tree and the stars. The thank you sentiment is from my all-time favorite Love What You Do Stamp Set in Gold Stampin' Embossing Power (I used Versamark). A couple of the Snowflake Sequins dot the sentiment.
I hope you were able to purchase the Wrapped in Plaid Suite, and specifically the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and the Pine Tree Punch as they are NOT retiring with the closing of the 2019 Holiday Catalog!! #WOOHOO
You know I usually do not talk "shop" until after the list of products used in my card or project -- this way, you can enjoy the craft time without wading through all the business jazz.
