Simple Stamping Challenge Featuring Music From The Heart Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. The theme for the April Simple Stamping challenge is birthdays! This simple stamping challenge is to create a card using only stamps, ink and paper! I chose the Music From The Heart Stamp Set since it is chock full of musical images.

The card base is a side fold A2 (cut 5.5 x 8.5, scored at 4.25) in Lovely Lipstick cardstock. I stamped the background images (small heart, musical note) in coordinating ink. The embellishment build is a Whisper White square (2.5), backed with another square (3.25) of 2018-20 in color DSP (all straight cuts, no dies or punches). Here's a pic of the inside:

Give this super simple card a try! You could try it in any color, your choice.

Easy Handmade Card Featuring Painted Poppies Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. Either you have a LOT of time to craft now (happy face) or even less time to craft now (frowny face).  Let's take a few minutes for ourselves, gather the supplies listed below and give this card a try.

Three (3) things I love about this card for our #staysafe #stayhome days:

1. Technique. The handmade DSP in the background is created using the monochromatic technique of inking an image with the coordinating ink color (or you can just use Versamark!). So pretty.
2. No special tools or adhesives. Each piece can be cut with a small trimmer or a pair of scissors (or you could use your favorite dies). Regular adhesives, not even one dimensional on this card (but you could if you wanted to!)
3. Coloring. Last but not least, a good bit of coloring using your Stampin' Blends, Stampin' Write Markers, Watercolor Pencils or whatever you have available!

(And how about that stamped envelope flap!)

I have teamed with fellow demonstrators around the globe to bring a full day of Facebook Live video demonstrations into your stamp space this Saturday, April 25th -- my time slot is 12:15 p.m. I will still hold our online workshop at 1:30 p.m. It will be the same cards so you can attend either one or both! Butterfly Gala Stamp Set (or Butterfly Wishes) and the Butterfly Duet Punch.

Announcing Plans for May's Online Workshop
*I am afraid we will not be able to meet in person again (frowny face), but I am planning well in advance (happy face).

May's workshop will be centered around another stamp set and punch -- the Daisy Lane Bundle (p. 23 of the Annual Catalog). This one is a current bundle so bundle pricing (10% discount). I don't think that many of you have this stamp set/punch yet, but at the bundle pricing it is a little less painful on the wallet. I will circulate full instructions on how to order using the May Host Code for your own stamp set/punch on Friday, May 1. Once you place your online order, I will get to you the card kit packets that will include the cardstock/DSP, ribbon, embellishments, and envelopes at no additional fee.* The "get to you" will be in some manner (either by mail or hand delivery using my new method called "ring and run"). This will be so fun for us all.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: If you do not already have an online account, when you set up your account, PLEASE be sure to NOT click "no contact" as I will not be able to send you your free card kit packets.

Easy Handmade Cards Featuring Timeless Tulips Stamp Set and Tulip Builder Punch

Hello, my crafty friends. Hope everyone is staying safe. As you may know, since our March class was canceled due to Covid19, this past Sunday I held my very first Facebook Live as a "make-up" class. I was super nervous, but I think it went pretty good.

For "homework" I gave everyone a list of instructions on cardstock and cuts, Designer Series Paper and cuts, coordinating ink selections, and embellishment suggestions. I asked everyone to purchase the Timeless Tulips bundle in advance, however, it was not a requirement - any flower stamp set with sentiments would work.

Here are the cards we made together.

These were really quick and easy cards that did not take long to stamp and put together, except for my uber-embarrassing punching mistake and "secret" fix - you will have to watch the video because it is too hard (and funny) to explain! Click this link to my Facebook Live video to check it out.

Easy Handmade Card Featuring Butterfly Gala Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. As you may recall, I have recently decided to use punches more and more in my stamping. This week I decided to recreate a card from July when the Butterfly Gala stamp set and Butterfly Duet punch were carried over to the 2019-20 Annual Catalog. I have paired it with the beautiful Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration. (I hope you were able to earn multiple sets of this beautiful DSP!)

The card base is a side fold (cut 5.5 x 8.5, scored at 4.25) Whisper White cardstock. The next layer is Rococo Rose cardstock (cut 5.25 x 4) topped with a piece of the beautiful Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper (cut 5 x 3.75). After stamping the butterflies in Tuxedo Black ink, the butterfly wings were stamped with the "fill" images using the Rococo Rose ink. Use the Butterfly Duet to punch out the butterflies and pop them up using dimensionals. I used the 2" Circle punch and the Starburst punch for the main sentiment (also popped up with dimensionals). Both sentiments are from this stamp set (I LOVE THAT!).

The card is finished with a super cute double bow using the Linen Thread and a coordinating gem.

This is really a quick and easy card and was the subject of my "practice" Facebook Live this past Saturday. You should check it out. I did not provide dimensions in the broadcast, but now you have them!
