Quick and Easy Birthday Card featuring Spruced Up Stamp Set

Hello my crafty friends! Hope everyone had an excellent Thanksgiving! Things are going to get really busy now. Today’s share is this quick and easy birthday card using the holiday stamp set, Spruced Up.

The card base is Basic White Cardstock (full sheet of 8 1/2 x 11, cut in half at 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"), fold and burnish the edge for a crisp, top fold A2 card. The first layer is Garden Green Cardstock, 3 3/4” x 5", and the top layer is a piece of the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper, 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". The embellishment build is the “present” die from the Spruced Up Outlines Dies (Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz) set on the layered hearts from the Heart Punch Pack. Create your own DSP using the “Happy” stamp from the Spruced Up Stamp Set.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:  With all the different colors in the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper, there is certain to be a color scheme for everyone on your birthday list through the end of the year.

Simple Stamping Challenge Featuring Music From The Heart Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. The theme for the April Simple Stamping challenge is birthdays! This simple stamping challenge is to create a card using only stamps, ink and paper! I chose the Music From The Heart Stamp Set since it is chock full of musical images.

The card base is a side fold A2 (cut 5.5 x 8.5, scored at 4.25) in Lovely Lipstick cardstock. I stamped the background images (small heart, musical note) in coordinating ink. The embellishment build is a Whisper White square (2.5), backed with another square (3.25) of 2018-20 in color DSP (all straight cuts, no dies or punches). Here's a pic of the inside:

Give this super simple card a try! You could try it in any color, your choice.

Simple Stamping Challenge Featuring Animal Outing Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. The theme for the March Simple Stamping challenge is BIRTHDAYS - my favorite! Products for this month's simple stamping card may include stamps, ink, and paper (including Designer Series Paper!). My card is a super easy, handmade card that you will be able to recreate with just about any birthday stamp set that you have in your craft supply arsenal!

The card base is a side fold (cut 5.5 x 8.5, scored at 4.25) Rich Razzleberry cardstock. The next layer is a 5.25 x 4 piece of the beautiful Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper. The embellishment build is a Whisper White square, backed with another square of Rich Razzleberry cardstock, simply stamped with the "wild" animals from the Animal Outing Stamp Set and the birthday wishes sentiment from the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Sending You Thoughts.

This is really a simple card and I hope you will give it a try! I colored the images using the Watercolor Pencils, however, you could use whatever coloring method you enjoy!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Piece of Cake

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the March Paper Crafting Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from the United States, United Kingdom and Australia! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Sandra Roberts' blog (great project, Sandra!). Welcome one and all.

This month we are breaking away from featuring only Sale-A-Bration products and branching out to include products from all the catalogs with an emphasis on "Happy Birthday." For my card, I am using the Piece of Cake Stamp Set and Cake Builder Punch (Annual Catalog), paired with the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper ("DSP," Mini Catalog). And I was having so much fun, I made two cards. Check them out.

The card base is an A2 side fold (cut 5.5 x 8.5, scored at 4.25). The first layer is Basic Black Cardstock (cut 5.25 x 4) and the second layer is Smoky Slate Cardstock (cut 5 x 3.75). The DSP, which comes in a 6x6 pack, is strategically cut (2 x 6, then cut down to 2 x 5, creating three 2 x 1 pieces) in order to create the pieces for my second card. To make my "cake" so tall, I stamped the image twice and, after punching out the image, I cut them apart to create this "wildly" tall birthday greeting.

I borrowed the word "Wild" from Animal Outing and "Have A" from the February Paper Pumpkin kit, Lovely Day. The color schemes coordinate with those listed on the DSP: Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay, Terracotta Tile, and Grapefruit Grove.

Both of these birthday cards are really quick and easy and would have qualified for this month's Simple Stamping challenge as they could be made without the punch or the die cut. Hearts for All Occasions with Meant to Be Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the March Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop! I am privileged to be participating in this blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from across the United States, Canada, Australia and United Kingdom! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Terri Stewart's blog. Welcome one and all.

This month all our projects will feature birthdays. I wanted to try a double Z fold card and I really wanted to use the Meant to Be stamp set to show how the hearts could be used for something other than Valentine's day. This is a picture of the card front.

What do you think about this super cute DSP and that Balmy Blue heart? Love it. The card base is Lovely Lipstick cardstock.

For the inside sentiment, I stayed with the Balmy Blue to tie in with the card front. Also used a snip of the Pearlized Doily behind the heart.
