Hello, my crafty friends. Today I wanted to share a couple of cards using the By The Dock Stamp Set. I have had this stamp set for several months now and thought it would be fantastic to spotlight my favorite image - the row boat - in my card. I used a recent card sketch challenge to get started with my design.
This is an A2 side fold card base (8 1/2" x 11" sheet, scored at 4 1/4", cut at 5 1/2") in Whisper White cardstock. There are three (3) strips of Plaid Tidings DSP (cut 5 1/4" x 1", 2 @ 4 3/4" x 1") strategically looking like they are randomly placed behind the main image, but really arranged to match the card sketch. To get the rugged color for the row boat, I stamped the image on Crumb Cake Cardstock and colored using the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends and the Color Lifter. The mat is Misty Moonlight cardstock cut with the second largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
I also created a similar second card because these masculine cards were birthday cards sent to my brother-in-law and nephew earlier this month.
