Hello, my crafty friends. The holidays are right around the corner now. I have just a couple more gift tags to make, but done with my holiday cards and decorations. Whew!! How about you?
This month's Simple Stamping Challenge from Stampin' Up! is to create a congratulations or celebration card using stamps, ink and paper. I think we can handle that! For my card today, I have paired two stamp sets together. I love the sentiments from the So Sentimental Stamp Set and the super cute, retro coffee cup from the Nothing's Better Than Stamp Set.
The image stamps in the Nothing's Better Than Stamp Set are "two-step" stamps - meaning that two stamps complete the image. In this particular stamp set, the one stamp is the outline image and the other stamp fills in the image. What a great stamp set inspired by Million Sales Achiever Connie Stewart. (Congrats to Connie Stewart for reaching $1M in sales!)
Can you spot the ink technique on this card? I used second generation stamping on the solid image filling the coffee cups. Even though Soft Suede is a lighter shade of brown, it still seemed too dark. The second generation stamping, or stamping off 1x, is just the right color!
