January Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Lots of Heart Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the January Paper Crafting Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Sandra Roberts' blog. Great project, Sandra! Welcome one and all.

For this month's blog hop, we are all featuring product from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. Have you seen this catalog yet? Oh My! It is huge -- 91 pages of goodness! I have been busy crafting with those suites that focus on Valentine's day, with love and hearts, and pinks and reds, and gingham! You know I love gingham and I could not resist the gingham heart in the new Lots of Heart Bundle (JJ21, p. 15).

True to the name of this stamp set, I decided to surround my gingham heart stamped in Blushing Bride with lots of hearts! Love the heart charm accent (JJ21, p. 11) and the Blushing Bride Baker's Twine (JJ21, p. 55).

In this second card I followed the same design. The Blushing Bride elements are now in Flirty Flamingo. I felt like the Balmy Blue mat conflicted with the Flirty Flamingo so it is excluded.

Let me know which one you prefer.

Tip: Keep the negative from the die cut strip of hearts to facilitate placement while adhering the hearts with glue.

So, now it is time to check out the great project by our next blog hopper, Shirley Merker.

  1. Lovely card Sandy, I think I’m drawn to the Blushing Bride but both are fun.

    1. Thanks, Nancy. I had fun with both pinks. Maybe I will try one with Poppy Parade too.

  2. These are just adorable - I have not done Valentine's yet -just made need to CASE these!

    1. Thanks, Maureen. You better get going...we are already closing in on the end of January (can you believe it!!).

  3. Such fun cards. Thanks for the tip on the negatives

    1. The "negative" tip was an "a-ha" moment for me. I don't know why I did not think of it until after I completed one card. A real time saver!

  4. I also prefer the Blushing Bride card, but both are gorgeous. The little bird is cute too!

  5. Difficult choice, but I think I like the first card the best. It seems brighter!

    1. I think the Blushing Bride/Balmy Blue card is in the lead!!

  6. Both cards are adorable. I love this set as well. And I think you showcased it well!

  7. Cute cards! It's hard to pick one over the other, but I do prefer non-traditional colors for Valentine's. So I prefer the balmy blue mat by a smidge :) Thanks for sharing!

  8. Super-cute cards! I do like the white one the best, but I do like pairing blues with pinks!

    1. Thanks, Julia. And, it is just too hard for me to pick one.

  9. Those gingham hearts are super cute ... and great tip to use the negative image as a placeholder.

  10. I like the white background better. Makes the gingham pop!
