Valentine's Day Is Right Around the Corner

Well, time is ticking. If you haven't finished those valentine's cards yet, there is no time for dilly dally. I want to share with you today my card design in both Strawberry Slush and Poppy Parade. Hope you all have a great Valentine's day!!

Simple Valentine's Day Card Featuring Banner Sayings

Just getting back in the swing of things from the holidays. Hope everyone had the best holiday ever! Yesterday was our first workshop of 2026. We had plenty to do and plenty catching up - as you can imagine! Of course, we had plenty of valentine cards to make! The card in this picture features the Banner Sayings Bundle (sentiment and punch), the heart dies from the Love Hope and Joy Bundle, the Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder, and the December Product of the Month Designer Series Paper, True Blue. I agree, not a traditional color for a valentine's day card, but cute nonetheless!

Quick Card featuring the Country Bouquet Stamp Set and Punch

Hello my crafty friends. Nothing but hearts this week for Valentine’s Day on Wednesday. This card includes many hearts, both large and small, created from multiple punches, including the Country Bouquet punch. Love the hearts falling up and out of the envelope. Happy Valentine’s Day.

This is a portrait A2 card: full sheet of 8 1/2" x 11” cardstock, cut in half at 5 1/2", score at 4 1/4" and burnish the side for a crisp edge. Find your favorite heart punches and punch away. The envelope was crafted from a small piece of retired DSP in a neutral color to avoid clashing with the bright-colored hearts. The sentiment is from Country Bouquet Stamp Set and stamped in Real Red.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:  You might have identified some of the heart punches, but….maybe not the smallest heart. That was quite a dig through my punches to find this tiny heart, part of the retired Dog Builder Punch. So don’t be afraid to browse through your collection of punches and dies to put together a collage of hearts for this valentine’s day.

I (HEART):  I love the envelope creation, however, I would be lying if I said that it was easy-peasy to make. I used some circle dies to round the edges. It turned out pretty sweet. 😊

Quick and Easy Handmade Card Featuring Pattern Play Stamp Set and Heart Punch Pack

Hello, my crafty friends. What do we want to do today? Still Valentine's cards? Well, I wanted to start showing some cards using the Playing with Patterns Suite (AC pp. 100-102), but we can do both!

This first card showcases several stamp images from the Pattern Play SS -- two are the hearts image outline and the hearts image fill. I used a second generation stamp of the fill image so that the outline image was darker. The background mat is a sheet of the coordinating Playing with Patterns 6 x 6 DSP. The focal image is simply a build of the Heart Punch Pack.

This second card features repeating images across the entire front panel stamped in Memento Ink. I used the Watercolor Pencils to color them and a Blender Pen to smooth out the color. I wanted to use the pencils to show that it is possible to make a beautiful card even if you do not have multiple stamp pads. Again the background mat is a sheet of the coordinating Playing with Patterns 6 x 6 DSP. The focal image is a build of the Heart Punch Pack like above.

There are no sentiments on either card so that I could add my sentiment on the inside panel.

As I mentioned in last Saturday's workshop, we will be using the Pattern Play SS to make a couple of cards at the February workshop (Sat. Feb. 20). I recommend purchasing the coordinating dies, Playful Alphabet, to take advantage of the discount, however, I will not be using the dies during our virtual workshop to prevent excluding those crafty fans that do not have a die cut machine -- but you really should consider purchasing the new Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (there is even a mini version!).

January Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Lots of Heart Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the January Paper Crafting Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Sandra Roberts' blog. Great project, Sandra! Welcome one and all.

For this month's blog hop, we are all featuring product from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. Have you seen this catalog yet? Oh My! It is huge -- 91 pages of goodness! I have been busy crafting with those suites that focus on Valentine's day, with love and hearts, and pinks and reds, and gingham! You know I love gingham and I could not resist the gingham heart in the new Lots of Heart Bundle (JJ21, p. 15).

True to the name of this stamp set, I decided to surround my gingham heart stamped in Blushing Bride with lots of hearts! Love the heart charm accent (JJ21, p. 11) and the Blushing Bride Baker's Twine (JJ21, p. 55).

In this second card I followed the same design. The Blushing Bride elements are now in Flirty Flamingo. I felt like the Balmy Blue mat conflicted with the Flirty Flamingo so it is excluded.

Let me know which one you prefer.

Tip: Keep the negative from the die cut strip of hearts to facilitate placement while adhering the hearts with glue.

Handmade Card Featuring Lots of Heart Stamp Set

Hello, my crafty friends. Today I want to share a quick handmade card using the Lots of Heart Stamp Set.

Nothing too fancy. I used a fun fold to add some challenge, but it can easily be a standard A2 landscape card front.

This month's workshop (Sat., Jan. 16 @ 11 am) we will be making this card, plus one more. If you do not have this stamp set, or the Heartfelt Stamp Set, the designs are easy to replicate with any stamp sets and punches from your personal collection.

Handmade Card Featuring Heartfelt Stamp Set and Heart Punch Pack

Hello, my crafty friends. Hard to believe that with today's Blog post, I start my fourth year of my commitment to seriously putting my cards and ideas out in the virtual world. My wish is that I have inspired you in some way to get crafty!

This month we will focus on Valentine's Day cards and today's card is a CASE of the "beginner" stamper card (AC p. 76) featuring the Heartfelt Stamp Set and Heart Punch Pack (Bundle pricing - 10% discount - is available!).

The card in the catalog uses Petal Pink CS and Terracotta Tile Classic Ink, but I wanted to use this flower sheet from the Flowers for Every Season 6" x 6" DSP so I used Blushing Bride CS and Poppy Parade CS and Classic Ink.

You may also notice that the "Stepped Up" cards on page 76 are also paired with the coordinating ribbon, DSP, dies and embossing folder from the Ornate Garden Suite Collection (AC pp. 64-67). If you have this collection, great! I just wanted to demonstrate that you have the freedom to use whatever product you may have in your collection.

I will be using this stamp set/bundle and the new Lots of Heart Stamp Set at our Paper Crafting Workshop via Zoom on January 16. If you do not have either of these stamp sets, the designs will be easy to replicate with stamp sets and punches from your personal collection.
