Quick and Easy Card Featuring Taco Fiesta Stamp Set

Hello my crafty friends. This is a perfect birthday card to share on Cinco de Mayo!! The card features fun and festive images from the Taco Fiesta Stamp Set. I created this one for my workshop swap card in April.

The card base is a basic style (full sheet of 8 1/2" x 11” cardstock, cut in half at 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"), then fold and burnish the edge for a crisp, top fold A2 card. I am still trying to use up this super-sized pack of beautiful patterned paper (Dandy Designs DSP), the mat is 4” x 5 1/4" and the embellishment is just large enough for 3 full avocados across, with strips of coordinating papers fringed.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:  Although not used on this card, I think the piñata is super cute and fun to color. I highly recommend this stamp set.

Quick and Easy Card for Easter featuring Ladybug Builder Punch

Hello my crafty friends. Time for an Easter card you say? But not another flower card. Hummm. So how about a challenge? Maybe a bunny card made from punches? Challenge accepted. I created my bunny using the Ladybug Builder Punch with an assist from the Medium Daisy Punch and the Cloud Punch. Just check out those cute bunny ears!

I used Basic White, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz pieces from the Medium Daisy punch for the bunny ears, the sunrays and the grass. The edges of the cloud/sentiment are sponged with Balmy Blue to provide some distinction from white background.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:  Seriously, how about those cute bunny ears using the Ladybug Builder Punch!

Quick and Easy Cards featuring Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper

Hello my crafty friends!! There is just over 40 days left to get your very own package of the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper. I have no idea if there is plenty of this great paper available or if Stampin’ Up! is close to running out -- I suspect we are very close to running out. Check out these two cards that feature the bicycles with baskets of flowers.

The first card (left) features a strip of the bicycles and prominently displays the new Alphabet A’ La Mode dies spelling out LOVE. For the second card (bottom right), I have punched out one of the bicycles using the rectangular postage stamp punch. Super simple, but really cute. Check out the top right corner for a snip-it of the full page of all the hearts that match up to the Country Bouquet Punch.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:  How about these soft color combinations and the pop of red (2022-24 In Color Sweet Sorbet)!

Quick and Easy Card Featuring Warm Welcome Stamp Set

Hello my crafty friends!! Today’s card features the Warm Welcome Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I bought this stamp set and dies because of one stamp – that super cute cat!! Okay, okay, maybe the cat was not the only reason, but is the cat not the cutest?? Tell me about it.

The card base is a basic style (full sheet of 8 1/2" x 11” cardstock, cut in half lengthwise at 4 1/4", scored at 5 1/2"), then fold and burnish the edge for a crisp, side fold A2 card (landscape). The first layer of Pretty Parakeet cardstock measures 4” x 4" for an interesting mat stamped with the Hand-Drawn Dots background stamp. You could pop up the door with dimensionals, but I did not to facilitate mailing my card.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:  I think the pairing of these two in colors (2022-2024 Pretty Parakeet and Tahitian Tide) is really pretty.

Quick and Easy Card Featuring Adorable Owls Stamp Set - SAB23

Hello my crafty friends!! The simple stamping challenge for February is stamps, ink and paper. Today’s card features the free Adorable Owls Stamp Set – free with purchase during Sale-A-Bration. The background images of the tree branches and rows of flowers are from the Garden Birdhouse stamp set. Lots of opportunities for coloring here.

The card base is a basic style (full sheet of 8 ½" x 11” cardstock, cut in half at 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"), then fold and burnish the edge for a crisp, side fold A2 card. The first layer measures 4” x 5 1/4" for the mat, and the top layer measures 3 3/4" x 5” for stamping. I think you may be able to see that the flying owl was fussy cut and popped up. The cloud in the upper right corner is the cloud punch, but would be easy enough to fussy cut in a shape to fit your sentiment.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:  If you attended my January workshop, you were able to swap out the dimensionals to pop up the flying owl with a plastic spring to create a fun wobbly project!

Quick and Easy Cards Featuring Country Bouquet Punch and Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper

Hello my crafty friends!! This past weekend was my first workshop of 2023 and, of course, the theme was Valentine’s Day so everyone is prepared for February 14. We had a blast getting together again after a very, very long break. The new January-April Mini Catalog has a beautiful group of product, Country Floral Lane Suite Collection, for your special someone -- you really must check it out. For today’s card, I chose the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper and coordinating County Bouquet Punch. Here’s a collage of cards I created; same simple design concept only changing up the sentiment and the color scheme.

The card base is a basic style (full sheet of 8 ½" x 11” cardstock, cut in half at 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"), then fold and burnish the edge for a crisp, side fold A2 card. The first layer measures 4” x 5 1/4", then stagger coordinating pieces measuring 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" and 3” x 4”. Arrange the punched elements around a 1/2" strip for the sentiment. Yours is beautiful too, I am sure.

Quick and Easy Card featuring Love For You Stamp Set for Valentine’s Day

Hello my crafty friends!! I could not resist this beautiful sentiment stamp set, Love For You, in the new mini catalog. The coordinating dies provide an assist for a wide variety of phrases.

The card base is Basic White Cardstock (full sheet of 8 ½" x 11”, cut in half at 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"), then fold and burnish the edge for a crisp, side fold A2 card. The background layer is Granny Apple Green, cut 4” x 5 1/4". The top panel is 3 3/4" square, then the four (4) square pieces, cut 1 3/4" square, are evenly spaced in a window-pane format. The squares are cut from the coordinating (and beautiful) Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper. The sentiment is stamped in Granny Apple Green ink, die cut and arranged across the panel.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:  This may look somewhat complicated, but trust me it is really quite simple.

Hello my crafty friends!! It was truly crunch time for finishing up my holiday cards this year. Finished in the ‘Nick’ of time!! I took a break from blogging over the holidays so I wanted to share a couple of my favorites.

You may remember that I chose the Cottage Wreaths stamp set/bundle for my holiday cards. After much debate, I finally settled on traditional red and green colors. For bling, I created the bows from the Red and White Glitter Paper and the holly from the Gold Holly Leaves and red rhinestones.

This fun and whimsy card features one of the gnomes from the retired Kindest Gnomes stamp set. The candy cane is from the November Paper Pumpkin Kit, From the North Pole, and the base sentiment is from the October Paper Pumpkin Kit, Ho Ho Ho.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:  To speed up the card-making process, I stamped and die cut or punched the elements and created small stacks for putting the cards together in a piece work fashion. The only coloring was the gnomes - after I stamped and die cut them, I colored them using SU Blends while watching TV!!

I (HEART):  Although a bit of a ‘project,’ I love the gnomes. I hope you do not miss out on the gnomes. 😊

November Paper Pumpkin Alternate Holiday Card - From The North Pole

 Hello my crafty friends!! Time to start working on those holiday cards if you have not started yet. Today’s card is quick and simple featuring the November Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set, From the North Pole. For inspiration, I chose the Freshly Made Card Sketch 557 from October 14.

The card base is in color Sweet Sorbet Cardstock (full sheet of 8 1/2 x 11, cut in half at 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"), fold and burnish the edge for a crisp, side fold A2 card. The background layer is a piece of the Sweet Christmas Designer Series Paper, 4" x 4 1/4". The embellishment build is the deer stamp in a circle, die cut using the Layering Circles Dies, layered on a larger scallop circle in Garden Green.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:  At this point, it is crunch time and using the card sketch, plus keeping it simple, will allow you to speed through your holiday card list. Happy Stampin’!!

Quick and Easy Birthday Card featuring Spruced Up Stamp Set

Hello my crafty friends! Hope everyone had an excellent Thanksgiving! Things are going to get really busy now. Today’s share is this quick and easy birthday card using the holiday stamp set, Spruced Up.

The card base is Basic White Cardstock (full sheet of 8 1/2 x 11, cut in half at 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"), fold and burnish the edge for a crisp, top fold A2 card. The first layer is Garden Green Cardstock, 3 3/4” x 5", and the top layer is a piece of the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper, 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". The embellishment build is the “present” die from the Spruced Up Outlines Dies (Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz) set on the layered hearts from the Heart Punch Pack. Create your own DSP using the “Happy” stamp from the Spruced Up Stamp Set.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:  With all the different colors in the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper, there is certain to be a color scheme for everyone on your birthday list through the end of the year.
