December Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Warm Hugs Bundle

Hello, my crafty friends. Welcome to the December Paper Crafting Blog Hop! I am participating in this blog hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from across the globe! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you may be coming from Sandra Roberts' blog. Great project, Sandra! Welcome one and all.

For this month's blog hop, we are all featuring gift packaging ideas using any current Stampin' Up! catalog product from either the Annual Catalog or the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. When the Mini Catalog first came out, I chose the Warm Hugs Bundle for my gift giving this year. I have shared many projects and gift-giving ideas with this Suite over the last several months. Today, I am decorating a Mini Pizza Box. I reproduced the design on one of my recent cards for the box.

Need some ideas for gifts that will fit in your Mini Pizza Box? Try one of your large, homemade chocolate chip cookies (the interior of the box is moisture resistant), or how about a set of your 3x3 handmade cards with envelopes, or a set of matching gift tags, or even a merchant gift card. They all will fit perfectly. There are even Gold Mini Pizza Boxes. Plus, this year there are Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes! So many choices.

This gift packaging idea is super easy for you to recreate: the box top is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", the DSP is 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" (then cut it in half at 1 5/8" in order to show off the "B" side). The trim in the center is a strip of Pear Pizzazz Cardstock and Vellum Cardstock, both die cut with one of the "wraps" dies. Along the sides of the box is a 3/4" strip of the DSP (cut 4 strips 3 1/2" long). If you prefer a detailed instruction sheet, please just let me know.

Quick tips for my favorite ribbon from the Mini Catalog - the Real Red Braided Linen Trim: 1) It can be curled (use the bone folder!) or 2) It can be separated and used individually (see tag, image below). So fun!

So, now it is time to check out the great project by our next blog hopper, Shirley Merker.
