Coffee Break Designer Series Paper

Welcome to the April Blog Hop. Once again I am participating in a hop with fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia! You might be starting the blog hop right now, or you maybe coming from Darla Roberts' blog. Welcome one and all. The theme for our blog this month is to create a card or project using Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. Several months ago, I featured this card using the Coffee Cafe' Bundle and Coffee Break Designer Series Paper at a workshop. Actually it is a pretty simple card. The stamp sets and die cuts really do take all the work out of card making. Add a bow with the beautiful ribbon and done!

For some reason I never got around to breaking down my extra card packets and putting away all the supplies. This blog hop card is going to show you how simple it is to take those already cut card packets and pieces to make a new card!

Full directions will be in a follow-up blog post tomorrow in order to keep this blog hop short, but by simply taking off 1/8" along both the short and long sides of the Coffee Break DSP piece and making 2 cuts to divide the DSP piece into 4 different shapes, this card has a totally new look!

Leave a comment below with a trail to find you. I would be interested in seeing your creations.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Make sure you keep hopping along to see all the other great cards and projects. Click on the "Next" button below to visit Melanie Coverston's blog.

This is a full list of our bloggers this month:

St. Louis Cards and Stamping Definitely Go Together

Wow, I can't believe it has been more than 2 months since the last time I posted!! Sorry for the delay.  It has been really busy, but 2 months?  Anyway...

****
This month’s club card is a tribute to my favorite baseball team – St. Louis Cardinals.  Go Cards!!

Converted this regular, but really cute bird from Stampin’ Up! bird builder punch, into my favorite red bird.  I think you will see that I snipped a piece from a second punch of the wing in Real Red Card Stock for the tuft of feathers on his head, and a couple of separate punches of the tail feathers for fluffier tail.

The fence is made from strips of Whisper White Card Stock.  I ran it through the Big Shot using the wood grain embossing folder to give it that real wood, whitewash look.

The birdhouse on top of the fence post is made from a small, rectangle piece of Whisper White Card Stock, with scraps leftover from the fence for the roof and the door is the new itty bitty heart punch.

Looks good.

Kind & Cozy Stamp Set

From my Stampin' Up! blog...

This month’s Friends n Neighbors Stamp Club was a swell chance to get together with everyone before school started up again to make some cards. In addition to the Chalk Talk card (using the Chalk Talk Stamp Set, coordinating Chalk Talk Framelit Die, see my last blog), we also had time to make cards with the new Kind & Cozy Stamp Set. The tiny tea cup is just perfect! This set incorporates the gingham pattern so great to again be able to use the Gingham Stampin’ Around Wheel. I love it when everything coordinates!

This stamp set has everything to make a simple card and (with a little butterfly punched out of gingham “wheeled” paper, candy dots or ribbon) easy to bling. You might consider adding the Kind & Cozy Stamp Set and Gingham Stampin’ Around Wheel to your collection!

Check back soon for an update on September’s cards where we will focus on our Halloween cards and treats!
